A feminist rebuke of Eliot Spitzer, by "Kristen", the prostitute who slept with Eliot Spitzer

ashley-dupree.jpgWhat a difference a week makes, right? Lol! So, yeah, I guess I’m “Kristen” the girl who slept with Governor Eliot Spitzer for $4,300. It’s been kind of a long few days. I had to go to court on Monday, and yesterday both CNN and the New York Times contacted me for pieces they were writing. I just wish they didn’t pull that one picture off my myspace of me giving the “peace” sign (no big deal, but my face looks kinda fat in it).

All the papers have been really, really cool so far with my “runaway teenage singer turned high-end prostitute” story and I appreciate that. I mean, it’s sorta like that movie Coyote Ugly but more realistic and involving more governors and less Bridget Moynahan. And, yeah, I guess a little more depressing. But I’m not here for another “Ashley Alexandra pity party”. When the editors of News Groper asked me to tell my story, I said yes, but under one condition: We focus on Eliot and not on my soon to be promising career in music (check my MySpace for updates!!!!!)

I’ve been reading a lot about this in the last few days, and prostitution really just sounds like it’s not a good thing. I mean, whatever, I did it and all, but women are totally being taken advantage of and oppressed. I wouldn’t call myself a feminist because, I guess I don’t really like labels. Like one time Ricky, my live-in boyfriend who just moved out on me :(, called me a slut after I came home with four grand and didn’t tell him where I got it. But then I threw a shoe at him and called him a pussy because he was acting like one. Was I really a slut? Was Ricky really a pussy? I mean, I guess so, yeah. But neither of us liked being called those words. So, yeah, I’m sorta like a feminist, or at least acting like one.

Under the principle of “sex equality”, as championed by noted feminist Catharine MacKinnon, any sort of prostitution of females to males is untenable in a society that even attempts to claim gender equality; even in the cases most favorable to women (those where they make their own schedules with clients and charge five figures for appointments). The fundamentals of the sex trade are still the same: fulfilling the most base, misogynistic impulses of men, stroking their egos, and using your body in the most degrading ways to perform for them.

Okay, I stole that last paragraph from some blog, lol, but I think I agree with it. I mean, Eliot was totally misogynistic. Like when he offered me a drink all he had for a mixer was tonic. I drink my vodka with soda, asshole (less cals). And when he asked me to do things that were not “safe” he was trying to “F” me while smoking a cigarette. Hello, I have exercise-induced asthma, okay. I made him put it out but, still, what if it was another prostitute who wasn’t as outspoken as me? He totally would have given them an asthma attack. The misogynist jerk.

It is only a matter of time before the Spitzer girl is featured in Playboy or Penthouse with all the salacious details about Clinet #9.
