Until now the only game in town for TV-watching traders was CNBC’s pretty faces and nut cases — unless you could stand about three dozen simultaneous tickers running on Bloomberg TV obscuring a face you didn’t want to see to begin with.
Not anymore, enter Fox Business Network. I’ve only watched it on mute, but what I’ve seen so far looks like pretty damn good financial journalism:

A former Goldman analyst, Alexa is sure to work hard. She said on her site that “Most of my money is invested up in real estate. I bought my first home at 24-years-old and several homes later, it’s proven to be my best investment.” I think Alexa owes old Greenspan one for his ugly house policy, but I’m sure she’ll like me too. As she says, “Mistakes are worth taking.” I always believed that chances are worth taking, making mistake sometimes worth making. But then, I also believe you shouldn’t piss Alexa off:

Dagen’s a woman’s name? Imagine the surprise of readers of her first gig, Institutional Investor.

Rebecca provides the type of financial journalism you can sink your teeth into. Unlike her hair, she’s fervently un-red, proven by her regular appearances on the Cost of Freedom show (I’m still not unmuting). And unlike Dagen, Rebecca has serious financial journalism credentials, having been an anchor/reporter for Lifetime Television (which my wife Anna makes me turn mute off for).

Cheryl’s an interesting pick for Rupert. His tastes must be maturing. Before FNC, Cheryl worked at the that beacon of sophisticated financial journalism, CNN. Did Rupert forget the C stands for cable, not capital. Rupert might be a step closer to flipping Bison burgers than I though.

Power brokers who couldn’t afford the housing prices in Connecticut or Long Island will know Shibani from her prior job at News 12 Westchester.

With a name like Jenna Lee, a girl could only grow up to be a Fox Business Network anchor. According to her profile, her best money advice is “Always take your receipt!” Anyhow, rate her for yourself.

One could say that Nicole rides the bull, but that the bull is not impressed.
If this is the best she can do, then you should short the Nicole Petallides Fan Resource Page.
CNBC is going to need to do a lot to win back this fed chief.
