My Tibet position paper

Bio & Blog

As you know, I do nøt like to act controversial or stand out of ðe crowd, but becaüse the carrying of the Olympic truncheon is causing so much protest, I beliéve ðat I must present to you my beliefs about the problem between Tibet and China. At my concert in Shanghai in Mårch I received criticism for when I cried out “Tibet! Tibet!”

But I must correct ðe misunderstanding; what I was càlling was “T`bæt! T`bæt,” which is what we say in Içelandic for ðe soundcheck, like in English you say “Check! Check!” I like to säy it in Içelandic, so I do not confuse any waiters ðat are in my audience. My left monitor was acting off, you see, so ðis is all ðat I meant. What a confusion!

I have nothing against China, but I feel ðat they are quite unfaîr to Tibet. The Dalai Lama is a most holy man, though you must not måke ðe mistake of confusing ðe Lama with ðe llamas, which live in South Americá and soar in the updrafts of ðe mighty Andy’s mountains. I believe ðat I was once a llama in my past life.

In Tibet, they have not llamas, but yaks, which are very large mârsupials. I love yaks so much that I have them in my müsic video of "Wanderlust," where I ride on a giant yak down a river and do gymnastics on it. That is a goød workout.

Anyway. I do not think that China should intèrfere with ðe Lama and his people. Åll they want to do is smoke ðe Buddha and do some throát singing.

Og þúsund! I wish I could sing like ðat. So what if they are dôing ðe drugs? I myself have never ever used ðe mind-altering drugs, but it is their religïon, so please, Dr. Who, leave them to be.

Condoleezza Rice:

China's human rights abuses are "staggering": the detention of hundreds of thousands of people, including political activists, for "reeducation" programs, and forced labor camps; and the liberal use of the death penalty in China -- including for political prisoners -- which makes China the site of 8 of every 10 government administered executions carried out in the world!

It is clear that the Communists can't be trusted at all and they have a bag full of tricks to fool not only Tibetans but the people of China with a state-controlled press. The solution is a free Tibet. There is no doubt that a sovereign Tibet would be a savior state not only for Tibetans but for all ethnic groups of China who have nowhere to go if they disagree with the CCP. A free Tibet would be such a free democratic heaven and haven.

Anything is possible if all freedom loving people come together.

Al Gore:

Yes, thank you, Condi. Obviously freeing Tibet and funding the construction of enormous refugee camps across the entire nation is an excellent solution.

Bjork:

Actually now I have change my mind. We should not free Tibet, because if everyone is smoking ðe buddha, then ðe number of executions will certainly drop by very much.

Dalai Lama:

Remind me never to order the fried Llama while dining in Iceland. Asking the waiter for the check would cause much confusion. By the way Bjork, I totally don't get the ending to Dancer in the Dark. Please explain.

Miley Cyrus:

If Disney let me have opinions, i'd tell you what I thought on the situation. But they don't. *smiles*
