Have you been reading all about the mortgage crisis? I have, and I have to confess that until recently it seemed like a distant and theoretical problem. People losing their homes? Ridiculous. Then I had a dream where a big man in a black suit came to foreclose the White House. I started to tell him that I was sorry I was late with my payment. He stopped me with a hand. Other men in black suits started carrying out the furniture. One guy was holding the painting of Washington. Another guy had a chair that belonged to Arthur (Chester Alan Arthur, not the drunk guy from the movie). I woke up in a sweat. I’m so happy that it could never really happen to me.
