Hello friends. Being an expert on the stock market is never easy. People are always asking me what stocks to pick, where the markets are heading and what is driving the American economy. Well on the first two that's easy ... I have no idea. I mostly make this stuff up as I go along, then I yell a lot and throw things at the TV screen on my massively popular show. It's the third question, what is driving the American economy, that has kept Big Cram up at night.
You see, three things drive GDP growth, increase in population, increase in investment and increase in productivity. The thing is all three have been flat since around 2003 and yet we have had 4%+ growth. Economist far and wide were baffled. Well, no longer. Big Cram found the answer: fat people.

Now I'm not talking about regular fat people. No, the beached whales I'm referring to have an extra belly under their belt, need walkers to get around, forced the garment industry to create a size above XXXL, and for who two chins are not good enough.
These folks probably each eat the equivalent of the GDP of a small country each year, and that's just their Oreo budget. Then there is the added health care costs, special clothes they have to buy, the fact that they have to buy two seats on an airplane, etc.
You see, if we assume the average person weighs 200 pounds, then the population of the US has nearly doubled in the last five years. These folks eat, shop, travel for two or three people now. As their waistlines expand so grows the US economy.
